Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes Review (ITF Gaming)

Added: 31.03.2014 22:15 | 6 views | 0 comments

William Mabin from ITF Gaming writes: The first Metal Gear Solid can be said to have popularised the stealth genre. The series has always flaunted smooth gameplay and graphics. It has always boasted a Hollywood-style movie appearance through its look and theatrical cut-scenes. Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes is possibly one of the hardest games I have ever had to review. Konamis game, on the one hand is a masterpiece in terms of graphical manipulation and immersive gameplay, but it is not without its flaws.

Are Shorter Games A Way Forward?

Added: 31.03.2014 17:15 | 11 views | 0 comments

EGMR writes: "The topic of game length and value for money resurfaced with a vengeance in the wake of the Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes saga, and Im so glad that I can use the word saga now without cringing. I kid. After an in-depth analysis of the Ground Zeroes issue just before my actual review of it, Ive had plenty of time to dwell on this particular issue. But what really spurred this topic in my mind, in combination with the Ground Zeroes debacle, was news out of the recent GDC conference where we heard that only a third of players finish the games that they start. All of this got me thinking that maybe shorter games may be, or even should be, a trend in the future."

PlayDevil: Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes Review

Is MGSV: Ground Zeroes a positive sign of change for the series? Here is a snippet: "Its true that the main mission is extremely short I clocked in at 66 minutes, excluding the cut-scenes, but it is highly replayable. On top of that, you do get a number of extra side-ops which give you different scenarios to play about with, and an extra-op with Raiden. Some of these can be pretty tough, and again, have a number of ways to play through. I spent at least 8 hours with the game, which I think is actually pretty good value considering the game can be picked up for around half the price of a new release."

Ground Zeroes: Kojima's cheap shock tactics spoil a great game

Spoiler warning: full discussion of the ending ahead.
To speed-run Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes isn't just to miss out on the best it has to offer - it's to put the worst it has to offer under a spotlight. Thanks in no small part to a set of Side Ops missions that impose different engagement criteria, objectives and obstacles on the same environment, Ground Zeroes is a delicately tooled and responsive sandbox, unfolding under the hand like a Swiss Army knife.

Dealspwn writes: Speed Runners have clocked this game in under ten minutes, but the average first playthroughs are reportedly closer to two hours. Many gamers have spent extra hours completing side missions too, so it's not as short as many have made it out to be if you want to take your time with it. Video Game Box are currently the cheapest price available for Hideo Kojima's prequel to The Phantom Pain. Don't forget to check out Jon's review for formation.

MWEB GameZone Review| MGS Ground Zeroes - A Beautiful Strike Zone

Added: 31.03.2014 12:15 | 12 views | 0 comments

According to MWEB GameZone, Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes is a caterpillar showing off one part of its future butterfly wing. If Phantom Pain is 200 times the size of Ground Zeroes; has multiple additional gameplay aspects; if it retains the detail and beauty of Ground Zeroes; it will be one of the best games ever made. Not just video game of the year, but for some the best theyve ever experienced.
